dedicated to jennifer ramus, age 17.
while driving to her boyfriends house from Chi-Chis on december 23rd
to exchange gifts, a truck crossed the center line and slammed into her,
head on. the man was intoxicated. he was doing 55, she was doing 50.
her car was crushed to nearly half its original size. a witness immediatly
jumped to her aid, covering her with a jacket. jennie coughed one last time,
and died.
this was, incidentally, the second time he was involved in an accident
while driving drunk.
the scary thing is, it could happen to any one of us. she did nothing wrong,
other than fail to read the mind of the drunk.
