Lapse News
Okay, a couple words from the Lapse seniors. Ill make it quick
this is Lapses best pack thus far, largely due to the fact that
LapseView now has MUSIC SUPPORT--it is the first viewer to play
S3M and MOD formats. Very nice work, The Red Flame!
Nice artwork from the artists this month hope you enjoy. One note:
Deadly Intoxication is now the Lapse Courier HQ, and Lost Temple
took over as World HQ. Lost Temples number is 801-255-5251, feel
free to call and apply.

Big pack this month.. Mainly since we didnt release last month.
*shrug*... No excuses, we just didnt get our stuff together in time,
and we decided it would be better to start releasing on the first of
the month anyways. Plus, with the switch of WHQ, it was convenient
to wait.
Anyways, I think we have some good music this month. Insanitor
did a rockin piece.. One of my favorites, next to the rube song.
Hehe.. And Ghent kicked some major ass with a nice piano tune that
he did. I added in a couple of pieces.. One, was a piece that I
entered into the rookie division of MC. I placed third out of the
fourty some odd people that entered.. Id like to thank snow man
for telling me about the contest about 8 hours before the deadline.
Hehehe.. But, I finished in time anyways, and Im pretty pleased
with it. I also included a quick piece called escape.. Only 36k, so
what the heck. : I worked on a few other pieces, some which arent
done, but WILL be included in the next pack, and one, gm-voodo.mod,
which I did for an e-mag that ddream is doing.. So I couldnt really
release it here.. Of course, whether that mag ever gets finished is
beyond me.. If they dont put it out in the next couple of months,
Ill release that mod in the pack. I was pretty happy with it too..
Anyways, thats about it for the music end of things. Like to
thank all the usual people for their work.. Especially the
coordinators Delirium Tremens, Time Killer, and The Red Flame.
All doing a kick ass job in their category. And just for the hell
of it, Ill send out a couple of greets to people I dont really
know, but I respect their music: Moby and BaseHead... Ive seen
BaseHead on IRC, but never really talked to him.. But hes done
some really good stuff. And Mobys stuff is great also. Ive got
some REALLY old stuff by him.. Hehe.. Anyways.
Also, check out the snes versions of mk2, super return of the
jedi, and Virtual Bart for some sound effect and music work I
did. Little Bragging Section there.. grin
Hehe.. So, see ya all next pack! Thanks for downloading it.
Feel free to contact me on the Lost Temple here in Utah801,
or you can e-mail me on i-net at game@xmission.com. Later.

As the next Lapse pack is released, so does Lapse as a group
increase in prestige. Welcome to Lapses October pack of the
year 1994. With the introduction of school for some of the Lapse
members, the production has slowed down, as is the case with all
groups. But the art is still quality, the music still excellent,
and the coding is up to its usual paar. Enjoy this months pack!
Lapse is not merely an ANSI group we are an art group.
This means that if you look only at the ANSI, you are missing
much of the distinction of this pack. All are exhorted earnestly
to take the time to listen to the amazing music produced each
month and to peruse the coding projects as well.
The program LapseView can be used to view all artforms
persented in the packs every month and all are encouraged to use
it to ensure that no art is carelessly missed because another
viewer was unable to view it. LapseView is included in all Lapse
packs and can also be found separately on preferred FTP sites.
I am not sure how I would evaluate this particular pack, for
I am largely unaware of what exactly will be going into it. Some
have speculated that it will be small I anticipate that it will
be of an acceptable size, and I also am confident that the
artwork will be up to its usual caliber.
Lapse may not have the blaring recognition that larger
groups have. However, I feel that the group Lapse has one of the
best attitudes in the entire scene. Lapse is a close-knit team that
cooperates and works together to achieve the best end that it can most
groups cannot boast of this, for they are torn with dissensions,
mistrust and jealousy towards each other and their competition.
If this type of atmosphere appeals to you, please do not hesitate to
apply to become part of Lapse.
